Watching MLB Network and John Smoltz said that Kershaw is a first ballot HOF'er. I say slow your roll. He has been a great regular season pitcher, but I think his struggles in the post season will drop him down a bit. He is 12 and 12 in the playoffs, 2 and 2 in the WS.

And if we're going to bring up W-L and postseason...

He has as many rings as Randy Johnson, Maddux/Smoltz/Glavine, Pedro Martinez, Nolan Ryan, Fergie Jenkins,. He has more rings than Roy Halladay, Mike Mussina, Phil Niekro, and Juan Marichal, just to name a few.

Randy Johnson was 7-9 in the postseason. Maddux was 11-14, Glavine was 14-16

Nice troll, subtle, someone might fall for it. I'm rooting for you.

You either belong in the HOF or you don't. 1st ballot is a stupid concept.

He’s 13-12 in the playoffs. And 3-2 in the WS.

I’m sure that changes your stance, right?

Lead pipe cinch for first ballot, you're nuts.

Dude's only 33 and has almost 72 WAR already. Plus 3 Cy Youngs, a freaking MVP as a pitcher, a WS title, even a Gold Glove. Career 2.48 ERA, 155 ERA+ (!) 27th already on all time strikeout list.

First ballot and close to unanimous.

For as much as I have dogged Kershaw for his postseason struggles, especially early in his career....there is no doubt in my mind he is a 1st ballot HOF. I don't think that should even be a question, I mean if Kirby Puckett was a 1st ballot...Kershaw should be
