didn't see that coming. they still have a shot at the playoffs and thought nd was the premier coaching job in college football.

kelly has gotten the program back to being a perennial contender, and is not exactly a young man.

no secret i never liked kelly. average coach on the field and lsu will regret signing him.

kelly's leaving because he knows how much easier it will be to recruit at lsu.

i would like to see him fail because he's sabotaging the team while they are still in contention for a major bowl, and he'll probably take some key members of the coaching staff and recruits with him. but i think those who have been selling him short as a coach with be wrong again.

The last one is the one that sucks to me leaving a recruits home and then the news breaks. Kelly has a habit of doing things this way so it really isn't a surprise.

Blue-Gold Illustrated obtained video of Brian Kelly’s farewell speech to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, and published a transcript of the address which lasted three minutes and forty seconds.

It was almost 4 minutes of bullshit and then he just left.

The fault for the situation is entirely his, because of his actions and his decisions. He knows he’s doing them wrong, and it’s why he talks about “no blame” so he can shuffle into the no blame circle while he has mud on his shoes.

He has every right to leave Notre Dame for more money — and really for whatever reason he chooses. He shouldn’t, however, have the right to manipulate the narrative of his actions to those that have depended on him the most.

I would say Fickell would have been my top choice nut only because of experience. Everything I've read indicates this the right guy for the job.

I won't call him scrap from an ability to run the program but I think with his style the program had advanced a far as it could. He needs a built in advantage like great recruiting in a state that everyone will just come to your school like LSU. Notre Dame needs a more dynamic personality like Freeman to reach that next levsl.
