Very good news from today.

Not really. At this rate Reed is never going to be close to 100% this year. Also the risk of turning a nagging injury that might just need 2 or 3 weeks of straight rest and no running to heal up. Into a season ending injury increases, perhaps dramatically.
Let the man get healthy.
Even if Reed is a decoy on Sunday its good that he is out on the field.
Davis can do fine. Let's just hope he doesn't get injured. And I believe Perine will eventually prove to be a better runner of the ball than Kelly (maybe this week). However, he is not there yet as a blocker picking up blitzes. Now these guys are both out. yikes. Davis and Perine need to step up

meh.....he's better than Perine at this point, but he's not great at it. CT is the best on the team. But it takes time to learn. CT sucked at it when he first came into the league. Most RBs never had to do it in college. Can Kelly block?
We saw 1 camp practice where Perine was over run by Brown in a pass blocking drill and have deemed him "not very good at pass blocking". I call BS! Let's see what he does today with an opportunity to start. All RB's coming into the league have to learn how to pass block better just as they must have done transitioning from HS to college. Perine is stout, has leverage and power to pass block effectively imo.meh.....he's better than Perine at this point, but he's not great at it. CT is the best on the team. But it takes time to learn. There is a couple of things that all new RBs have to learn. First is to identify the blitz and who they have responsibility for based on the blocking scheme. Second is to meet the blitzer as close to the LOS as possible. If they wait, the blitzer has a full head of steam and usually blows them over. Portis was one of the best at it. he would attack the blitzer at the hole and usually blow them up. The young guys tend to wait on their heels and drop their head and contact.
