Kind of inevitable. With Wilson as the franchise QB and Jackson a VERY good backup (would put him top 5 backup easily at the moment. Has good ability but the team loves him and that's so much of being a QB. Gotta have teammates that believe in you and trust you can get it done) plus whatever the hell is going to happen with Pryor.... just no room.
Competition at all levels of course.... even though Jackson/Wilson aren't losing their jobs, but can def. see Price being the motivation point for Pryor.

I think he did ok... But as good as he can look at times it can quickly turn into a disaster at times... Good athlete and had his moments but just doesn't have the composure you need at the qb spot.. I think Pete just wanted to take a look at him....

Seems an odd time to release him unless there was something behind the scenes we don't know about. I mean why not hold on to him until fall camp and keep the extra arm as well as let the kid get some more experience?
I said when they took him he was likely bound for the CFL. His being released now likely gives him more time to look into options up there before their season.
