If you're in a league with 3 keepers, does that mean you have to keep 3 or you may choose to keep up to 3? Thanks in advance

Depends entirely on the wording of your league's rules. It could easily be either one. My ASSUMPTION would be, that if it's not specified you have the option to keep none, one, two, or three

I'm in two keeper leagues. One requires a set number. The other has the option to keep up to that number. Both options are common.

You're going to want to check the rules or contact your commissioner. The difference can definitely affect your draft strategy.

Thanks guys. I'm not in a league with 3 keepers, the idea of a keeper league came up amongst friends so I said I'd research it.

If you're thinking of starting one be VERY specific when setting up the rules. How many to keep, if there are options on that number if keepers, and what Draft pick you lose for keeping that player.

If you're thinking about joining one, get those rules spelled out to you in black and white before tossing in the entry fee.

The biggest problem with keeper leagues is having owners not return. If that happens, then you are likely left with a bad team that nobody wants to take over.

But if you have a solid core of friends who love fantasy football and are committed, then it's incredibly fun. The added element of longevity provides an entirely new dimension that needs to be accounted for.

We can probably help you out with any of the research you're looking into.
