Keeper league decision

[Yellow Fuzzies]

I can keep one of these three. Very normal 8 category league- ERA, QS+W, Ks, & S for pitching.
what do you think?
-Charlie Morton ...good but old
-Mike Soroka ...young potential
-Thor ...established but fading?

Thor. For sure.

Soroka is tempting, and a safe blanket if you could trade Thor for a pick upgrade.

But I'd be happy hoping for a Thor bounce back.

I have to go with Thor, but I'm kinda worried about him. I wouldn't blame you if you went with Soroka. Lol, for that matter, I wouldn't blame you for keeping Morton, he's been awesome. However, I'll stick with Thor first, Soroka second, Morton third.

When is the keeper deadline?? Hopefully you don’t have to pick soon. But as of now it has to be Thor. He is your upside play.

Keeper deadline is not for a couple of months but trading is open so I would like to dangle a couple of guys. We only keep 4 players plus two minors. I am keeping Yordan, Tatis and Harper.

Not sure what there is to dangle... your 3 keepers are pretty solid... maybe try to trade tatis…

But you are not going to get much for which ever SP you don't keep... its worth a try... Who are your 2 minor leaguers???

You are probably right.
I have Brantley, L Gurriel, and Rys Hoskins.- Not much value in this format there.
Minors- I have three- F Whitely, Sixto Sanchez and M Kopech. I can keep two.
This is a very competitive league- $211 bye in.

Soroka, will have a good team around him for years, more value if limited times kept or has an increasing salary, but younger and guessing could be kept much longer.

Thor, chance of getting traded to a great team high, still on a good team, but lead the league in ER during a peak year?

Imo would not keep a pitcher unless its mandatory. If I did it would only be top5 guy like Scherzer, Verlander, Cole, Sale, DeGrom. Good luck!
