You could do worse than adding Norman and this kid to you backfield in one off-season.

Lets draft him already! Im getting way too excited about a Norman, Breeland, Joseph, Jarret defensive backfield that will probably never happen.

Good God. Go back to the :46 mark, the way he explodes into the ball carrier reminds me of Sean Taylor. Hell the entire clip reminded me of Sean Taylor. I'm officially changing my call in Dean's thread but after seeing this I don't see how he will still be there at 21.

Biggest knock against him is his injury which has some speculating he may miss the first 2-4 games of the season like Gurley last year.

Outside that, most seem to agree he is a very versatile, special football player, regardless of his smaller stature (5-9 or 5-10) that would likely be a top 15 talent, minus injury.

From Mike Jones in today's mail bag... My take is if Scot is sold on him, 21 is not too early

I do know that the Redskins like Karl Joseph. But, the 21st pick could be a little early to take the West Virginia safety, who himself missed last season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. I think the most likely move is for McCloughan to trade down, and then, Joseph could possibly come into play.

I've been saying this, like, forever. Sean Taylor is who I see, when I've seen Karl Joseph's highlights. Dude hits a ton. Not to mention, he has Sean Taylor's skill-set. Meaning, he has great hands to intercept the ball. Can fly to the line of scrimmage and make good tackles. Plus, he's a pretty good blitzer. The only difference between Sean Taylor and him is size. We know that Sean was unbelievably athletic and agile for a 6'2 232lb. man. I would have absolutely no problem with us taking him at #21.

Very true...hopefully the knee doesn't destroy him like it did Bob the brittle.

well joseph is a little bigger then sanders while sean taylor was 6-2 212 lbs

i wouldnt mind joseph if we got him but the hype that he is a sean taylor clone is simply foolish

Sean Taylor could match up against the TEs and tall WRs in the secondary with his size without match up problems. I don't think Joseph has the ability with his size/height to cover all of them in man coverage. Or to be such an intimidating physical force. These are some of the reasons ST was so great.

Explosive tackler, uses his legs well to drive through players when tackling. Seems like a Scot guy in that he looks like he loves to play. Again not a very good defensive team overall. You didn't see him in pass coverage much on those highlights.

Well, I never said he was a clone. Sean was a special player. Til this day, I still say that Sean Taylor was the best safety prospect I have ever seen. It's not even close. Joseph reminds me of him because he's constantly laying people out with his hard, intimidating hits. He can do other things, though. He's a good, all around safety. He'd be a definite upgrade at the position.

If we go into the season with Norman, Breeland, Culliver at corner, Joseph at FS and the winner between Duke and Burton at SS along with Hall and the others who played well last year as backups this secondary, which has been a disaster for years, would be a huge strength.
