As stupid as Kaep is, I gotta hand it to him. Seeking out one of the greats to help improve his game is admirable.

But at the same time- What are you thinking Kurt? You have no business helping this clown! Cardinal nation will not be happy with you.

Colin Kaepernick to train with Kurt Warner this offseason | ProFootballTalk

His two biggest teams he played for, Rams and Cardinals, would dislike this, as both are in SF's division. Rams need a QB, but they're getting better and now SF's being helped?

Kurt will give it to him straight... He'll use the gesture from Knight and Day...

"with me.... without me... With me... without me... WITH ME... Without me..."

Wow, we could see a whole new Kap. I think he shows just a little bit of humble for getting all the coaching he can. More power to him.

At least Kap admits his faults. RG3 continues his denial and thinks everything but himself is the problem.

From Kaps biggest critic,,,,,, This is a great move.

Not sure if it will help, its not like Warner has a coaching background or anything.

Kind of off topic but close enough to mention I remember reading a story way back about how superstar players dont make good coaches when their playing days were over. Because the game usually just came easier for them.

I would argue though the game did not come easy for Warner. The guy had to work his butt off to get where he was. I mean at one point he was bagging groceries or playing in Canada for a while so it is not like this guy was a 1st round pick that everybody saw being successful. He worked from the ground up to the point of being MVP. I think honestly he is a perfect coach for Kaep at this point in his career. This past season was a very humbling one so to see him make a move like this I think should make the rest of the NFC West a bit nervous.

I'd say he better learn how to bag groceries with how he has played

Good gesture, I doubt it helps. I am not sure Kaep is capable of turning the corner on his game and it is hard to change your play-style this late in the game.

He's gonna need all the help in the world.

Most overrated QB in the NFL. Been saying it since last year.

Kap does have a great arm. Nobody can argue that. The accuracy and touch are what he needs to work really hard at. And the biggest issue is just awareness during the game. I am not a guru but I am sure all of those issues can be worked out and improvements can be made. How much will affect millions of dollars and where they are spent.
Its all on him and this sounds like he is taking responsibility.

Kurt agreeing to help him shouldn't raise questions by fans of his former teams. The QB brotherhood sort of stands on it's own as it is and now that Warner isn't in the game anymore he should be allowed to make money anywhere he can. Even if that's advising former adversaries.

I'm not sure Kaep can get more out of such a venture than tweaks to his mechanics or timing and I really don't know if that is his biggest weakness. His decision making appears to be more of a problem and his overall pocket presence. I don't know that Warner can help him there any more than his coaches can.

I think this is a great move. Kap sees he has a weakness and wants to fix it. With a new OC and this kind of training Kap will be back. The last game showed he has it to be good to great.

I can see him improving slightly. although saying something like he could make the pro bowl is outlandish. with abs like arod stafford possibly files? romo wilson, newton, ryan, brees, i just can't see it happening.

As a matter of interest, Warner was helping Ryan Lindley as well.
