Ah who knows but he was hit pretty hard and looked like he tweaked something. If they sat him it was the wrong time...heck Briere didn't look like he was close to being ready either.
I don't believe for one second that lavy just decided to bench JVR, I could however see JVR being benches as a precaution after the nasty hit he took wed night. I think the media is just digging for a story here.
If on the off chance lavy did just bench him, well I have to assume homer would deal with that.
I dont believe it at all.
But in saying this Im a little dissapointed in JVR so far. I know its early but he need to show why he was picked 2nd and why he got the deal he did.
Play him on PP more.
Honestly, the biggest thing I got out of that page with its "team source" speaking "on condition of anonymity" was that if I shell out enough cash, I can embarrass myself playing Guitar Hero against Claude Giroux.
He's a little nicked up is all for a big kid he is kinda fragile! None the less he is our future so embrace him and he'll show Philly how good he can be!
* I wish I could throw up a vid of him hitting those boards awkwardly the other night because it didn't look good when it happened.
I'm sure that Lavy, Homer and JvR are most likely being overcautious and letting the kid heal up and while he's at it.....allow him to "reflect" on his poor start and come back with some newly found purpose.
