This is his statement. Hopefully someone can update me as to why he wanted to leave Georgia in the first place.

Good. As he should. The NCAA transfer rules are bogus. If Greg Mattison can coach at OSU this year a transfer from Georgia sure as hell sure be able to play.

He was never gonna beat out Fromm, and as of now, Fromm plans on playing out his eligibility, and not many 5 star QBs are gonna be willing to sit for 3 years.

That's not to say Fields won't be a better QB than Fromm, but Fromm is the perfect QB to run out offense, he played a pro style attack in high school and knew the playbook. Fields played a spread offense in high school, and his skill set is better suited for a team like Ohio State.

I'm glad he's gonna get to play and I hope we get a Fromm vs Fields matchup in the playoffs.

Give him a couple of years, but he will not be the one that will be able to put osu in the playoffs this year

Couldn't agree more. Once Jimbo Fisher pulled his bullshit in his last season at FSU and jumped ship, all transfer rules should've been done away with.

The dude has skills, and I think he'll be a stud in OSU's spread. He had never ran a pro style attack before, and besides Fromm having the year head start on it college, it's also what Fromm ran in high school.

Fromm is perfect for our system. Fields is perfect for OSU's.

Probably means there's a good chance we get Nick Starkel since he was considering OSU in case Fields didn't get a waiver.

Better than Ben Hicks at least...

I agree he will be very very good in their system, just don’t see him as coming in this year and be the one to get them there. Next year maybe, following year I have little doubt.

I won't judge until I see. We have seen guys like Kyler and Mayfield, Kyler inparticular do things nobody imagined. Fields is young and it could take a year but system fits seem to work and this is one of those.

Because there are some racists at the University of Georgia and none at Ohio State. ....... Blue font eyeroll etc etc etc.

With that smartass reply said transfer rules need a full overhaul if we are going to let this one go we need to just let them all go. His claim was pretty weak IMO.
