I ended up in the er again the last trip. It seems that the DR in S Carolina over prescribe the coumidin and I was feeling tired and lethargic.

I got my test rests on the way to see the fam and she called while we were at a rest area on the Ohio turnpike.

She told me Mr K your INR is off of the charts and you are at 12.3 and that is fatal. It should be between 2.0 and 3.0

She told me to have my Daughter in law (a doctor) to have it checked ASAP when I got there and if you bump yourself or fall get to the ER ASAP. Appealingly I was worse than a hemophiliac.

My daughter in law (thru my doc) wrote up a script to have my NRI readings taken. I am so grateful to both of them because I almost died.

There is more but I have babbled enough at this time but it was a serious situation.

Now I have to figure out how to pay the doc's in S Carolina and Definace Ohio.

I was scared and my daughter in law said as my dr in Buffalo I should be in the hospital.

I am still not out of the woods because they said a Pulmonary Embolism can mean a "hidden" cancer.

I just wanted to keep you up to date because you are a great group. Take care and I hope your holiday was great!

Not important Im just glad to be alive and thank my dr's in Buffalo and my daughter in law. I don't think most know how close I was to death and it was scary.

My ex wants me to sue the doc but I am not that type and just happy to be alive.

I really don't think most here know how close I ws to death. Thank god my personal doctor did and my daughter in law did.

Kiss your children tonight because you never know when things happen.

Hey Boss, glad you're okay! And clearly the hockey gods want you to stay within state lines and cheer on the Sabres!

Did you go to the hospital in Ohio? Just a note that on the back of your bill there should be information about how to apply for relief - basically the state may pay a portion of your bill. Also, I read an article recently on negotiating for medical bills - if you call the hospital and say "look I can't pay x, but I can pay y right now," sometimes they'll accept that and be happy to give you a discount in exchange for getting the payment.
