Really disappointing that he got injured. Could have been a very good piece for the D had things worked out differently.

Was a no brainer minus a contract reduction. Got him cheap and while his contract was large he was worth a 7th rounder without knowing he would get injured. Could still return if he doesn’t get what he wants on the market. While we have the most cap space in the AFC west we really needed to make this move as he was due a lot. Use some of this money towards Simmons in which could also help us re-sign Shelby Harris.

I like Casey the player, and liked the trade last year. It was too bad he got injuried. I wish him luck, and it would be great if he returned.

I agree that the Broncos had to release Casey to help the salary cap.

I agree with the people saying he had to go based on his contract.

I’ve always liked him as a player and I hope he gets paid by someone(if he doesn’t return to us for cheaper) but there’s no way we should’ve kept him if it would’ve cost us someone else like Simmons or Shelby Harris.

Honestly was kind of hoping they would hang on to him until they officially got something worked out with Harris. Losing one of those two will hurt the overall talent but losing both puts a lot of pressure on the young guys to step up.
