He has been a problem since he joined the league. You thought just because he joined the Pats he will suddenly change? You are being unrealistic.

Yes. I am ok being judged on a DUI because I know if I drink and drive I have to suffer the consequence. If I go out with the intention of drinking, I take Uber.

The initial signs WERE good so...

But are Patriots fans really that surprised?

No.

Caught driving drunk...a couple times? How many times does one have to drive drunk before they understand not to get behind the wheel when intoxicated?
the point is, people make mistakes. gordon didnt stand a chance from the day he was born. hes had a hard life.

mistakes dont define someone.

I’m not saying he had it easy but saying he never had a chance is hyperbolic and really just an excuse.

That said, I agree that his substance abuse issues and some mistakes don’t define him. I think permanently banning him from the league is way too harsh. But...I’m not in charge.

Give me a fucking break. Hes been paid millions to play a sport. People have accountability for their actions. His terrible childhood is why he wont stop smoking pot? What a lazy ass enabling copout of an excuse. He wants to smoke thats his prerogative. But if he wants to fuck up his opportunity thats his choice.

Some people get happy as hell with a huff of the hootie mac. Others get mellow, while others still get instant paranoia.
For some people alcohol changes how they think and therefore once they have the first drink, there are no consequences.
That part of the brain is just not functioning.

PS i said by seasons end he would lead the team in catches or yards.
His 605 yards is 2nd on the team to james white by 59 yards
His 34 catches is 4th
His 17.8 YPC leads the team

Pats' Gordon cites Brady for helping turnaround
What turnaround? From smoking weed and getting suspended to smoking weed and getting suspended. Nice job Tom, you really made a difference.

True, but it also ended how we knew it would.

Most of his "mosts" are because he hadn't played much in most years.

exactly my point.
So Tom and the Pats got him when he came off suspension and enjoyed a little over half a season of a talented WR until he was suspended again. I don't think there is anything for the Pats to be proud of.
Jason Campbell did a much better job in 2013.

the guy who played 8 games and had 11 TD's and a 77 rating? that guy?

you know he was one of 3 QB's that year for him, right? and that he was THE only option aside from jordan?

Why would you say "it ended how we knew we would" ? Maybe your sheltered but I have seen people fuck up their lives and others turn their's around, I was hoping for the latter, but unfortunately it didn't work out, and hope he gets help Some of the motherfuckers on here sound like your gloating, because the kid failed, unbelievable. Too many Holy Rollers on here

Yeah, I forgot to give Weedon his due credit for aiding Gordons success.

Most people knew it would end this way. Mostly because it has happened throughout his high school, college and pro career. Did you really expect different.
I wasn't hoping he would fail, i just figured he would.
