I think the writing was on the wall when we cut him only 2 or 3 weeks into preseason. He's just not going to be ready for this season and he might be finished.

He was injured week 2 of last season so it's been close to a yr in recovery time. Torn ACLs aren't really career ending injuries so this is kind of suprising.. Looked on his way to a promising 10 yr career as rookie..

Hope he finds his way back.

He had a hard time healing from his first ACL injury (other knee in college). I remember seeing a particularly gay game day special about him playing the guitar and singing - He had mentioned how he didn't think he would make it back. This time they said his injury was worse than the first time!

The only thing the Bengals could have done was PUP him, and that means that he should have never practiced.

But it was going to be very tough for him to make it. Hawkins had all but taken his job over, and was already healthy and no history of injury issues.
