Kings send goalie Martin Jones to Manchester of AHL. When's the last time the G with the best saves% in NHL (.950) got farmed?

We all knew this would happen. Quick is fine. They lost Carcillo for near nothing. No way they keep 3 goalies and no way they put Scrivens on waivers.
He will be back.

Anderson on Anaheim was sent down too and he also had a great record. I think he's back up because of an injury. Jones is a rookie, he got great exposure with his first NHL run. He's not going anywhere..

When that same goaltender is Waivers exempt but the second stringer isn't, Mark.

Pretty funny reading the web and seeing all the backlash to Jones being sent down, people don't seem to understand that it's not because of his performance and is strictly a business move.

Yeah this move was totally expected once Quick returned and looked like Quick. The only reason he wasn't sent down before last night's game was they weren't certain how Quick's groin would hold up. It was obviously fine with no recurrence of the Stephane Fiset glass groin episodes.

I forgot about that guy. He was supposed to be another one of those "goalie of the future" guys, and I honestly think it it weren't for the injuries he could have been. He was a battler out there and never gave up on a play.

I'll never forget the 1997-98 season, in the Game Night program with all the players' pictures Fiset, O'Donnell, Murray, Blake, etc. all had bleached/frosted hair. It looked awful.

The 90s weren't as brutal as the 70s or 80s but it was pretty bad.

After the 5 game losing streak and Quick looking like Quick, it made a rough couple weeks, sooooo much better.
