He's right, 100+ mile an hour fastballs and 500 foot home runs rule! John Rocker was the best, like a fictional bad guy in a baseball movie, only real. The sport could use some more John Rocker type villains.

Yeah, cause having your pitcher flail hopelessly at three pitches and risk injury is so much better.

Anyone notice how 10 yrs ago when Jon Rocker said something, everyone talked about it. Now he's reduced to stating the obvious in a lame attempt to generate cheap publicity.

learn to hit

AL managers hate having to think. They fear strategy. Result? They love the DH. It's why out of 100 baseball games I watch, 99 are NL.

"his ongoing career in community service as director of public affairs for SaveHomelessVeterans.com, the Ronald McDonald house and helping raise money to battle multiple sclerosis."

....yeah what a real asshole.

amen. i loved the braves run in the 90s when the pitchers had an openly known bet amongst themselves for batting.

You're shitting me, right? He's a good citizen? :omg: I thought for sure he'd be doing cooking ice in a doublewide in Calhoun County or some shit.

You can make all the strategy comments you want, and to some extent you're right. There is more strategy in the al than NL guys admit , but obviously significantly more in the NL. That said, watching the starting pitcher come up to hit with two outs and runners on and flail hopelessly at 3 pitches is a joke. Plus, you run the risk of injuring your pitchers. :lame:
