I'm not. The window was very tight with this roster and they had mortgaged quite a bit of the future. Another year and it could of really put them back for a long time.
Time to implode the roster and start a rebuild.

Whether it's all warranted or not, personally, I admire Elway for making this decision. These were Elway's hires and he's obviously not too proud to kick them to the curb and move on. Elway's a winner and won't settle for anything less.

Just wow! But it makes sense if you are throwing in the towel. If you are going to rebuild, might as well bring in a whole new staff so nobody owes any players any loyalty. Could be fire sale trades coming up for Denver players. Let the FA's walk, trade anybody under contract and start from nothing. It takes balls to do this cause there will be a few tough years.

When you're a HC and you acknowledged what's killing you at halftime and then proceed to come out and do absolutely nothing you're a shitty head coach. Both Del Rio and John Fox were shitty at making half time adjustments and that's the reason Denver blew so many 2nd half leads this year.
Del Rio has no understanding of the word blitz and that's what killed us against Indy, we couldn't get any pressure on Luck and just stood back and waited for him to throw. Del Rio changed nothing about his defense playcalling and he deserves to be fired, and Fox deserved to be fired for letting him. You're the HC, do something if you're your DC wont.

A lot of you have no knowledge of the broncos given your comments.
1) Broncos are not in cap hell having mortgaged the future. They have room and if Manning were to retire or be cut that opens up more room.
2) Why get rid of everyone and start from scratch? Welker will go, but that was going to happen anyways. Julius Thomas will likely go, he is not worth the cost. Demaryius Thomas will get the tag or new contract.
3) This is not after 1 game. I guess you all don't remember that uninspired play last February or several games this season. The broncos are soft. They quit on games that don't start their way and have shown up dazed and confused in a lot of them.
A coaching change was bound to happen. Del Rio and/or Gase were candidates for other jobs. The surprising part is all three going a day after the season ended. I am sure Elway wanted to get started on a coaching search immediately.
