Del Rio sounds as good as gone to OAK. Either Gase or an outside hire.

JDR isn't the only guy in the mix in Oakland, I liked him more the last time around when he was leaving Jax, but similar to the Fox move to Denver, I think this is more about PM than Fox.

I'll accept Del Rio if that's the final decision.

This firing makes no sense to me. None.

Maybe Fox should have put himself in to throw 3 yard wobblers?

This is much more than yesterday's game. The broncos have little soul on their team. If a game is going to turn into a fight, they go home. If a team does not let the broncos impose their will they quit the game. Yesterday, Rams game, SB are all examples of how this team came out flat and it has happened more and more. It is not just offense it is defense too.

think they need to spend more time interviewing candidates..if they indeed go del rio i would consider that rushed decision. unless hes the best guy for job in their eyes then go for it. i dont know much about john fox but maybe give him a look.

It does really. He is the scapegoat for the Manning and Elway connection. Petyon and company couldn't make it in the playoffs for one game ( sound familiar?) and the HC takes the hit. I hope that Fox goes to a team that can appreciate his hard work.

Wow. The whole staff? I have a hard time believing that Manning is coming back after this move.

J.D.R. was gone anyway and Adam Gase was probally going to get a HC job somewhere else. So this is not surprise at all.

Teams are under the impression that it's always the HC's fault.

For example, granted Mike Smith was a horrible head coach when it came to play calling and clock management (they would have made the Playoffs if he would have just run the ball and force Detroit and Cleveland to take timeouts, but instead he wanted to pass and, naturally, both of them were incomplete), and I'm definitely glad he's finally gone, but fixing that team is going to involve more than just ridding of Smith. The front office needs to fix the issues we have in the trenches on both sides of the ball, or whoever's the HC next season will struggle too.

Usually it's the QB's fault, but how could that be with Manning? Gotta be the coach. ;) Just kidding, Manning's injury and age is a bigger factor than him just messing up.
