Would've been more than just a damper. Losing Staley would seriously hurt our chances this year. Before that final series, I had been wondering out loud when Harbaugh was going to take Kap and other stars out of the game.

It was discussed ad nauseam last night. Who was he supposed to bring in? They are very thin at OL. He was playing out of necessity.

Exactly. Mayock made a point to let people know that he was still in the game because they had nobody else.

That's what I heard as well, that he was over-reqcting to the injury out of fear. It sure sounded bad but I felt better after seeing him walk off.
