The 26-year-old Corvo received a three-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty in Boston to assaulting a woman in a restaurant last year. The incident occurred while Corvo was playing with the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL.
He also was ordered to complete counselling and perform community service.
Prosecutors argued Corvo grabbed a 34-year-old woman's buttocks last November in a restaurant. Corvo returned after initially leaving and punched the woman, who was later treated for bruises and swelling on her face, and then kicked her when she fell to the ground, prosecutors said.
