Sarcastic F-wad
I know that darn near EVERY player gets placed on waivers at this time of year. I am not surprised that he was placed on waivers.
I am surprised, however, that the Giants waited until this late to do it. Why did the G's wait till the 26th to place him on waivers?
I guess there must be some strategic reasons behind it. Waiting till this late could remove the possibility of also-rans to claim him, thus making it more likely that a legit team will get the chance to trade for him. If they placed him on waivers on the 1st, any team with half-a-hope of contending would claim him, then low-ball just to get him off the market. Now any team that claims him should actually want him and will be willing to pay for him...
