Watt Just Happened: J.J. Watt Agrees To Sign With Cardinals
Defensive end stuns NFL with decision to come to Arizona

This kinda sucks.
Yep. Why weren't we involved?
Yeah pretty much my feelings considering how injured Watt is and I have always said this about him. Even in his prime days the Texans defense as a whole was never that great. I wouldnt want the Seahawks spending what small cap they had in signing him but with that being said having to deal with Chandler Jones and JJ Watt isnt a positive thing.Honestly, I'm not sure I wanted the Hawks to spend 23.5 million dollars on a guy clearly on the downside of his career. I just didn't want him going to a division rival.
Ditto... Rumors are that were going to release Dunlap and let him test FA... If we can't afford him at the current price, we definitely weren't going to make a run at Watt...Honestly, I'm not sure I wanted the Hawks to spend 23.5 million dollars on a guy clearly on the downside of his career. Problem is, the guy on the opposite end of him... Chandler Jones... They definitely upgraded their DL/Bookends with the acquisition of Watt...Watt isn't who he use to be. Still he is a good player just not a top 10 DE.
If Murray doesn't take that next step it's a waste of money. It's a splash move and may help them some, but it's a short term benefit ,when the team roster isn't set up yet to win now IMO, so probably not the kind of move they need.
Cardinals offense went flat latter part of the season. After the bye week they went 3-6 and lost back to back games at season end, where a win means they make the playoffs. Those two games they scored 12 points and 7 points and the only way they moved the ball was Murray running it. Was it the OL? IDK, but man they looked bad on offense as the season progressed after the bye. Especially the last two weeks. If Murray doesn't take that next step it's a waste of money.
If the defense was bad I could see this signing but with the offensive struggles I'd rather have used the money to upgrade the O.Cardinals offense went flat latter part of the season. Need to get one starter from FA, than get the other two through the draft but considering the FO is low on draft picks may need to go get 2 starters from FA.Upgrade our LG, C, and RT. Either the starter or the backups.
