Another thing that could get interesting...Dallas could end up with a top 3 pick. I think that would be the perfect opportunity to get Fields, maybe Lawrence, but not very likely with the Jets probably going 0-16. I would let Dak go and save close to $30M to improve the roster around Justin Fields, Zeke and these WR's. Maybe even try to trade Cooper in the offseason as well to save even more money.

I think the Jets are going to be the clear #1 but after that it gets interesting.

I said the Giants should take a QB but I really don't think that is very likely. I think they would go OL. That kid from Oregon Sewell would be my best bet.
I think other teams that could be vying for that 2nd or 3rd pick are the Texans (Miami has that pick), Jaguars and then Cowboys. Texans don't need a QB but I think the Jags would drop Minshew in a second for a guy like Justin Fields. Should be interesting.

The Jets have been a perennial dumpster fire since Werblin sold the team and Bill Parcells left.
They are headed for a 10th straight non-playoff season (7 losing seasons). The last time was back-to-back AFC Championship games on Rex Ryan's watch (2009-10).

As much as I dislike Rex Ryan, he actually did a pretty good job for the Jets. If he could have had an elite QB, they very well may have won a SB.

That SOB just turned 20. Holy shit, he's young. Yeah, he may be pretty good if he can put on some weight...I'm kidding. He's a big fucker (6-8, 330). If the Giants manage to get him I won't complain.

I heard Thomas is struggling a bit but the thing about Sewell is he could play guard or tackle. He could be like Larry Allen lol. So if Thomas keeps improving they could try to solidfy the OL and then hope Jones progresses.

Damn, I hope you're right. I thought also that they could move Andrew Thomas to RT and put Sewell at LT right away depending on his development. I realize that would be back-to-back rookies on the QB's blind side, but if PS turns out to be a freak then that would work.

Yeah they have options if they do decide...wouldn’t be a bad idea

Only chance for a win could be this Sunday if Cam fumbles the game away. All other games I don't think they could win and by the time they roll into NE at the end of the year, they'll already be thinking vacation time so that'll probably be a loss.

Plain and simple, the Jets need to really clean house, across the board. Bring in a competent front office / coaching staff, trainers, etc and start over. There is no reason with the talent they have had over the years that they suck so bad. It was only 5 years ago or so that they finished 10-6 and narrowly missed the playoffs (2015 season). You mean to tell me that they could build off of that success! They have been posting below .500 records since then.

Just remember, had they won they would've blown their perfect season.

I think the old cliche applies here from last night's game: The Jets snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

So they were saying last night, that was the first time all season the 3 top WRs played in a game together. From what I saw, the WR group isn't too bad. They have 2 first rd picks in each of the next 2 seasons and 9 picks in the first 3 rds over those 2 years. If they get Lawrence, this could be a pretty quick turnaround if they get a good HC and draft competently. Maybe they need a FO shakeup to do that but sobeit. That kid at LG is a friggin monster if he can get and stay healthy. Fill out that Oline with some pcs and solidify the defense and they actually aren't that awful a landing spot for Lawrence. One thing for sure, Darnold will likely be available soon.

Tough schedule there @PhilSimms11 . Doesn't look like much chance at a win. Really tough cross country trip in December too. But maybe Flucco gives them a punchers chance vs Seattles crappy D.

You see Flacco scoring 30+ points against the Seahawks?

New England on the last game might be a win since it will be pointless and the Jets will likely have locked up the No. 1 spot by then.
