Schneider's team was expected to be good this season but the Cowboys surprised the league with their stellar performance.

It is timing. John and Pete totally rebuilt the team from scratch into a superbowl winner and contender for a second. But each season there is always a feel good story that trumps actual skill and knowledge. I am sure jerry will remind everyone forever that he won x of the year.

I honestly don't give a turd about these awards. Neither Schneider or Carroll are likely to ever win either award which is fine with me. Just keep winning Lombardis.

This is just like coach of the year. It doesn't usually go to the best coach of the season but the one that helped turn a team around the most. GM of the year falls in that same line of thought.

If 12-4 is underwhelming, I want them to keep on underwhelming for the foreseeable future.

BTW, the Seahawks were 3rd in the league when it comes to players that were put on IR(16). Only the Giants(21) and Ravens(19) had more players on IR.
