They were on Henry Hines Blvd. A 6 lane one way road. Per @Sir Robin Of Camelot it's common for a person in a non left turn lane to turn left there.

It happens way more than one would think on Harry Hines and especially that area between the hospitals and the AAC. I was making monthly visits to UT Southwestern after melanoma surgery last year and it literally happened twice in front of me.
