Really? I wonder what's going on with that. I thought that he was one of the weakest substitute hosts fwiw. He didn't ever seem to be comfortable with it to me.. he wasn't as smooth as most of the others.

Imo, Burton was OK, but not great. I was fine with the choices they made, but I wish they had picked one host.

It honestly doesn't make that much difference to me who they pick. I just don't understand the big push for Burton. I found him to be kind of stiff. I thought the best ones were those with extensive experience doing that sort of thing.. interviewing people extemporaneously, acting as sort of a master of ceremonies. They had "pro" written all over them .. the various Today & news show hosts. He's an actor and I thought his inexperience conducting that sort of thing showed. I wasn't crazy about Bialik either. People get worked up about the dumbest crap.

Did Ryan Seacrest “audition”? No way would he accept the job, but he is one of the best “Master of Ceremony” guys out there. Can’t imagine his image would work for Jeopardy, though.

My wife hated her.. something about her voice and the way she speaks. She wasn't one of the best imo, but I thought she was ok.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the two they picked but I guess it could have been worse right?

Well, that didn't last long. Mike Richards steps down as host and the show will go back to guest hosts.

Back when Ricahrds was executive producer of the The Price is Right, he was involved in a couple of lawsuits regarding the treatment of some of the women on the show. Both suits settled, though he wasn't a named defendant when one of them settled. And naturally, Richards has consistently denied all the allegations.

Then there are the some "concerning" comments he made while on the Randumb podcast, apparently a gossipy, gameshow and news kind of thing. Considering the tone of the show, his comments didn't seem all that bad to me. They're down a ways in this link: "A Smile With Sharp Teeth": Mike Richards’s Rise to ‘Jeopardy!’ Host Sparks Questions About His Past

So, back to guest hosts it is!

I think that was true of a few of them. I thought Bill Whitaker, Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta were all very good, but they're not going to give up their gigs for Jeopardy.

I think people with real TV experience were the most polished. I liked Bialock and Burton the best myself

Yeah, dont cancel jeopardy. I saw about 4 episodes of The Chase and that show is trash compared to Jeopardy.

You and I saw that very differently. Aside from Aaron Rodgers, Ken Jennings .. and maybe Buzzy who I thought was very good for a non-pro, I thought that Burton was the least polished and I'm really curious about his public cheering section who apparently were energetically advocating for him before he even hosted.

Man, those people were committed to getting him out, the NFL should hire them, the people will find out everything.

But wait...there's more! After ousting Mike Richards, the outrage mob is now calling for Mayim Byalik to step down.

THIS is exactly why you don't indulge piddling or overstated complaints. It only encourages more.

Bialik was on Big Bang Theory, right? It really shouldn't be that hard to find a dozen controversial things in that show
