Jeff Karstens will get the start tomorrow, in the series opener against the Phillies. Marking his return from injury to the Pirates rotation.

Lincoln back to the Pen. (Per, Rob Biertempfel's Twitter Page.) Good news.

PS Great effort by the Bucs today against the Tigers, Verlander. Almost had him.

Both Harrison & Cutch just missed Home Runs late in the game.

38 - 33 & still only 1 gm out of 1st place, in the NL Central Division!

Lets Go Bucs!

Getting Karstens back is a nice shot in the arm for an already productive rotation, but I really think it takes a lot of pressure off Bedard, Burnett, and McDonald to win every game they pitch, since Karstens is going to compete for wins pretty consistently.

Now some help offensively would be appreciated. We need just one or two more steady bats in the lineup to stay competitive for the rest of the season.

Good to see Jeff is coming back. I really hope he can get right back to it. Would be a great way to push the Reds if three or four starting pitchers are really going strong.

Saw that the Bucs also brought Morris up for bullpen support. Mercer is the corresponding move to Indy.

That's a pretty formidable starting rotation now. Impressive really. Of course this if he comes back strong, no guarantees. I like Karstens a lot. He's not overwhelming or anything, but he's consistently good. Does enough to put the team in a position to win. Just one bat away...

Yeah while Correia hasn't been great, he's been good enough to be a #5...recently anyway. Lincoln pitched a very good game Saturday, but I think he can be really strong out of the pen. In the rotation he's been pretty consistently bad.
