Another two years for Heuerman. If he stays healthy - its a nice signing. History would indicate he will get hurt like he does every season. I hope he stays healthy because he showed pretty well last year (until he broke his ribs). He is an unsung blocker - gets yards after the catch and deployed a devastating stiff arm after the catch. Still very little to show in his Bronco career to date.

Butt - has now 3 Achilles ruptures to his credit - and I don't know anyone who came back completely healthy from 3 of those. I actually don't know anyone who has had 3 Achilles injuries. I don't think he can be counted upon.

Fumagalli - may show something, but I haven't seen it yet.

Scangarelli made the TE in San Fran - look like Shannon Sharpe - he's got to be looking for more in the TE room.

Iowa has a couple good ones available. Think Denver would use the 10th pick on a TE?

I watched cutups of TJ hockenson
Crazy athletic for a big TE.
We all know the TE in a shanny system is key. I would love TJ if we could drop back to middle of 1

Not to mention he's an exceptional blocker (which I believe we need).

If we are talking about a guy who could be an elite TE - that would be a bargain at #10 (IMO). Brady is going to really miss the Gronk.

I think so too, but I also think there is an attitude among NFL front offices that #10 is too high for a TE.

No thanks on a TE at #10 for me. I actually think that Heuerman, Butt and Fumagali could end up being good. Maybe a TE in later rounds. I think the Broncos get greater benefit from an every-down, thumping middle linebacker at #10.

Elway is probably more desperate for a TE than he is for a QB and that is saying something.

My theory is Heuerman needs to get rid on an "e" in his name and he will run faster and stay fresh longer on the field. Certainly - less injuries from opposing players angry about how he spells his name.

So my scenario would be - that Heuerman agrees with me and drops the "e" as extra weight - then when I refer to him as Huerman @Draft Crazy will come on and out of reflex - correct my spelling. There upon - I will send young DC off to ask Huerman himself how he spells it. I will have arranged to have Huerman tell DC - "I saw the way Mingo spelled and thought - Why not?" At that point I will agree that the long arch of the moral universe does indeed bend toward justice.
