This seemed like only a matter of time. And I can’t say much bad about him other than he just isn’t really a good back up quarterback option. He could last as a #3 though.

Much like Wilkerson walking, addition by subtraction. Too many QBs on the roster and every single one infinitely better than Driskel. So long, young man. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

If I needed a 3rd string QB I would be fine with Driskel for a small amount of money, but not ok with him as our backup for any amount of money. ;)

The guy was suppose to be the next big QB going into Florida and it never happened for him. I am happy to see him get some time in the NFL but you're in trouble if he is the best you can do as a #2.

This is why Elway needed to be fired. Absolutely zero value to team or Locks development as a mentor .

2nd worst transaction behind the drafting of Paxton

In Elway’s defense, he did try to bring in Flacco to help develop Lock. Unfortunately, Elway didn’t notice Flacco sucked and had no desire to be a leader either for the team or to Drew Lock.

Thinning the herd. Love it.

Not because Driskel was a bad qb or guy, I'm sure he's very nice.

But the calls to have him start or play will finally cease now that he's gone.

I can't wait till Aaron Rodgers gets here.

Agree- These are the moves that really stood out as to why John Elway was not fit for his role. He might as well have kept Brandon Allen if he was going to sign Jeff Driskel. Elway struck me as very stubborn. The type of GM that liked a guy 3-4 years ago but never really turned into much so Elway still values him the same way 3-4 years ago when the guy first came into the league.

The guys like Austin Calitro sitting on our roster all season bugged the snot out of me. Guys who made zero impact on special teams when that is the sole purpose of why he was brought in here. Yet, he gives up too early on guys like Isaiah McKenzie who he actually did draft and would have looked a bit better had he kept guys like this on the roster.
