Back injuries are extremely difficult lets hope he is good to go but frankly if not 100% let him sit.

From a Donna Ditota article today:

One note on Grant: The SU sophomore said before Thursday's practice that he felt "great," that back issues that kept him out of most of Monday's Maryland game had been resolved. He practiced without incident on Wednesday. Reporters were not allowed to watch SU practice on Thursday. (It's a complicated issue involving "guests" at practice and perceived potential NCAA violations that could arise if reporters attend.)

After the FSU Game

After playing 35 minutes in Tallahassee....

Ice bags were packed on Grant's knees and secured to his lower back in the post-game Syracuse locker room. He said he "felt good" to be back on the court Sunday, to help his team return to the win column.

Grant will continue to get treatment on the back before and after every game and practice going forward. He doubts, he said, that his back "will be 100 percent better" until the 2013-14 season concludes. But he seemed confident that the soreness had subsided enough to allow him to play the rest of the way.
