Me too. Kid overcame a lot and kept on fighting. He has become elite and I think he has one more gear in him being another full year from the injury.I'm glad to see this.
I'm glad to see this.
I wish more of our players had his mindset.
In before someone says "Jimmy Johnson says you never pay non-pass rushing LBs"...
I was just joking. That was his belief. Don’t get the point of this unless you think Dallas has had a better run of success since Jimmy left.
Zeke holding out a year too early. I would be disappointed if Jones caves..How is he disrespecting him?
I was just joking.
I'm sure Jimmy would tell you there are no rules that use the term always and never if you asked him. If you can get Smith for a team friendly deal you would be insane to not jump at it. And Jimmy's success wasn't all that great after he left either...maybe he should have brought some LBs to the Dolphins...
I think when you have a guy that you had rated as a top 5 player in the entire draft and he is now pretty much performing at that level, you try and keep him regardless of his position.True, true but that’s a belief of his. Some NFL people just don’t think it’s worth investing in LBers. The kid is special and easy to root for after what he overcame. Also sounds like Dallas got him at a nice price. The Eagles follow JJs belief. They did give Nigel Bradham good money but they almost never use high picks on LBers. Probably why Philly has a really mediocre LB unit.
