No surprise. His role in the 4-3 was never really defined, so at his age he was expendable. He played well, albeit in limited snaps.

Saves $1.43 million on the cap for a guy clearly over the hill.

I my guess is they re-sign Vincent Rey, start him in the middle, and move Maualuga back to the strong-side LB position.

More than likely, outside of a F/A, you are going to see V.Rey or Lemur at OLB.

If they haven't moved Burfict to the middle by now to replace R.M. they ain't movin' him.

I wouldn't move him. He's incredibly valuable as a weakside linebacker. He starred there last year -- Keep him there.

I think we're banking on Lamur playing a lot this season -- He was supposed to be a rising star last year but got hurt. We're probably also expecting some production from that linebacker we picked last year that got hurt.

Regardless, over the past few years we've developed a few good young linebackers. I think as long as Tez stays healthy and Rey M.'s passing downs are minimized we'll be just fine.

Even in a year that we didn't have Lamur, Harrison only played 30% of the downs.

Linebacker is not a problem area on this team.

Coaching is. Ownership is. QB is. Good thing these aren't that important.

We also have an exceptional long snapper and some nice guys on the team.

Character is what counts in the long run. We want a team our city can be proud of..... When they're getting their ass handed to them in the wildcard round.
