Welp, that's one way to kill the franchise.

Pierce Brosnan was not as good as expected. Craig has revived the role, imho.

Dalton was meh. Brosnan was solid, but Craig was better. New Bond will be interesting. Up until 30 seconds ago I thought Lynch was American and that was my biggest problem with her casting. She's from west London so let's see where this goes.

If the pattern holds, this one should be good. Craig's movies have been alternating between good and bad. Casino Royale (good), Quantum of Solace (bad), Skyfall (good), Spectre (bad).

The Daniel Craig Bond films have produced 2 good ones and 2 mediocre ones.

I think he's trying to redeem himself after Spectre. Because Casino Royale and Skyfall are both top 5 Bond movies (Yes, I've seen every single one for you Sean Connery snobs).

This is probably a Hail Mary given his age, but it has to be better than the mediocre Spectre.

Sean Connery is still the best as 007.

I agree with this... but Casino Royale and Skyfall were good enough to pull Craig up the list.

As a Connery snob I still think the 1st 3 (From Russia with Love, Goldfinger and Dr No) are the series best. Maybe Casino Royale sneaks in.

I was never a Roger Moore Fan. He and Pierce Bronson were ok, decent but Connery and Craig were the best imo

A lot of people liked Roger Moore. He certainly was suave enough but I think Connery and Craig had more of an edge to them as well.

Brosnan was not believeable as Bond.

Imho, Brosnan came with such high expectations (they wanted him after Moore, but he was unable to get out of Remington Steele) that he was destined to fail. Then, when he just did “good” instead of “OMFG”, he qualifies as “didn’t meet expectations”.

His movies were good but generally his performance was campy. Brosnan was perfect and Craig was solid. Moore was alright but he benefitted from some of the best storylines in the arc. At the end of the day every movie is good here so debating performances is splitting hairs

...but the big news this weekend is a report claiming that in the plot of the film, Lashana Lynch, most well-known as Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel, will be taking on the codename of 007:

Does everything have to be feminine now? Smh.
