Someone hold me. I need a shoulder!

Honestly, saw this coming and was prepared for it. Great athlete with ball skills but not sure he ever earned out trust here. Didn't make an impact on special teams. Played decent on Sat minus the drop but I think our mind was already made up when we gave the new RB #41. Never a good sign for a guy on defense when the new offensive guy gets the same number as him. ;)

Cut him early so maybe someone else will give him a shot. Doesn't appear we are interested in him on the PS if we cut him in the first wave to get down to 85 players but you never know. I think mentally he may not have what we thought we had in him when we drafted him for his athletic ability. There is a reason he fell in the draft.

On the flip side of it for me this is good news for Delarrin Turner-Yell and I didn't buy Jamar's jersey this offseason preparing for this possibility.

Just don't end up in Kansas City please but I hope he does well.

I had such high hopes for him. Honestly was more excited about him being drafted than Sterns. At least one of them has worked out so far. Wishing Johnson well unless he ends up in the AFC West.

My only surprise of the 5 cut is Jamar. Not that he was released but that he didn't stick around until the last cut because we may have tried to sign him back to the PS. I was really hoping Turner-Yell would make the team with Jamar on the PS to learn a bit more and work with his athletic ability. Being cut from 90 to 85 isn't a sign they have any plans for him to be on the PS however. I think he is undependable and a slow learner from what I hear from players who have played with him.

We got Sterns and I was excited. Ask Springer or DC. Though in fairness Sterns being a DB made DC excited too.

I don’t count when it comes to DB’s but that was an unbelievable memory when we drafted Sterns then Johnson. We talked about those two a lot. Sterns since his FR year at Texas.

I was worried about Sterns move to the NFL. He was very up and down in college.

Honestly I am a bit worried about him for this upcoming season. Doesn't sound like he has had the best camp so far. Not sure if the change in scheme has hurt his value. I understand it is similar to the last one, but there are some little differences and wonder if the new coaching staff is asking some new things of him.

Sterns has been pretty banged up in camp. Hoping that is the issue for him. I think he will be ok. Just not sure his upside is huge but a solid rd 5 guy. Very smart and dependable.

If by up and down you mean changing positions and coordinators every year along with injuries, then yes. lol

He's a solid safety that can give us a bunch of good years if he stays healthy. His hip surgery concerns me though, and probably why he's having issues in camp.

Sterns issue in college was really staying healthy. He was the best FR safety in the nation then couldn’t stay healthy.

And the big problem with that is Sterns ticket to start is through Kareem Jackson's job - which is a collision function.

That is the problem though of how do you get a read on his projection for the NFL when those kind of things are happening. Same thing happened to Chris Harris Jr. in college. Teams had a tough time trying to evaluate what he could do in the NFL.

I liked Sterns I just wasn't sure how quickly things would click in the NFL. I'm glad they did though as obviously it has paid off big for the Broncos so far.
