According to Titan Insider's Terry McCormick, there are "signs pointing" toward Jake Locker making his first NFL start in Week 15 with Matt Hasselbeck battling a nagging calf injury.

It's a very interesting development for two-QB leaguers, because Locker has difference-making athleticism and a rocket arm. In 50 pass attempts off the bench this season, Locker is averaging 8.7 YPA with three touchdowns and no interceptions, and he's also rushed for 47 yards and a score. The Colts' defense has been awful all season. The Titans may give Hasselbeck the week off, and turn to Locker to close out the season if the rookie continues to play well.

Guy has the arm, accuracy, and size you look for in a QB; on top of that has the mobility to create problems on the ground. It's disappointing that he just doesn't have the mental capacity to be a QB, as in he doesn't know how to play the position, especially when it comes to the smaller details. He can't look off coverage, read coverage, and in last week's game you have to know you CAN'T take a sack five yards out when the time has expired.

Locker > Tebow.

Will Locker ever receive the publicity that Tebow gets?

if u put tebow's heart and head inside locker, u would end up with the best qb to ever play the game

Ok? There's nothing wrong with Locker's heart. This is the same guy that wanted to play Safety for Washington when he broke his arm his sophomore season. And Tebow's head? What about it? It's not like Tebow is good at reading defenses and going through progressions.

Jake Locker has Elway type talent physically. I agree with 1z in that he's extremely raw as a passer, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with his heart.

We can only imagine what Harbaugh could've done with him.

well tebow is a winner and comes through in the clutch. not bad for a running back trying to play qb. locker has the physical ability, but lacks between the ears

lets just give Locker a chance, Tebow got his chance and he's doing alright.

btw - before the draft i was very much against Locker, due to his lack of passing skills. but i backed off (a little) closer to the draft after reading some scouting reports. didn't back off enough to think he was worth a draft pick.

now lets give him a chance, he may just burn me but thats ok, everyone deserves a chance. our critique should be limited to the amount he's played, so one game doesn't define his career.

speaking of Tebow, IMO his mania is WAY overrated??!! they're winning depite him, not because of him. this last game was mostly defense and the PK. if you're a good QB, you win the game much earlier, don't need last minute heroics.

I really don't think you can say "in spite of him" at this point......his skill set is unusual and in large part intangible, by most accounts. The whole thing is goofy, but given how the Broncos have played over the past two years I don't think its fair or even believable to say this is all coincidence or despite Tebow.......6 game winning streak is no joke.

ok, thats not quite right.

obviously, Tebow is contributing SOMETHING as the starting QB. but why do they even go down to the last few minutes? he does have a different skill set but all top QB's have good intangibles.

how well is Tebow playing for the first 3 1/2 quarters? is he keeping his team in the game with good play, or is the defense doing it? why is Denver trailing all the time to begin with?

It basically defies explanation. The only thing I know is that you can't knock a 6-gamer, no matter what team it is....let alone a team that couldn't win before he started playing.

What is it that Tebow has in between the ears that Locker doesn't have, exactly?
