Thank God. He's a glorified motivational speaker, and WILL drag this team down with him the longer he says here.

Get rid of him ASAP. I almost want him gone as bad as Avi.

He's not on an island. He has Steph's support.
The guys make a good case for him to come back

Clyde seems to love the thumbs down. Can I have one too please?

I can't remember a time when the star of a team (and a major star in the league) supported a coach, and that coach got fired.

There must be something we don't know about Jackson. Loved by players, very good season, and apparently about to get canned. Doesn't add up (yet).

I got one!

From JO:

"Winning is hard, and hopefully everybody that supports this organization, that runs this organization, understands just how hard it is to win. And if you get a group that's a good group that loves each other, that fights for each other, and can get a head coach (where) you see (former Warriors point guard and current Cleveland Cavaliers point guard) Jarrett Jack speaking about now from another situation, don't take that for granted (because) 51 (wins) can go to 31.

"You know, chemistry is everything, and we'll just keep fighting and find a way."

Curry out supporting Jackson, here's a new article on ESPN

Thanks for posting.

Key quote: "What Coach has gone through this year has been unlike anything I've seen -- just the amount of distractions, the circus that has been around him and the decisions he has had to make," Curry said. "I love Coach more than anybody. For him to be in a position where his job is under scrutiny and under questions is totally unfair."

Ultimately, I think Jackson will be retained by Lacob. Not only that, but I believe they will offer him a two year extension. This is all speculation on my part, but I think Lacob will be objective about how the season ended. I think he will meet with Jackson to discuss what went well and what needs improving.

I think in order for Jackson to be extended, management will hand pick a couple assistants for Jackson's roster. They did this upon his initial hiring, and I think they will insist he hire a few well seasoned, x's and o's guys. This will be the management's way of hedging their bet.

Its almost identical to the Singletary situation with the 49ers. Who is Avi?

Since when is the only requirement to keep a head coach is being personable to his players? He's a player's coach. That doesn't make him a good coach, and I certainly don't expect any players to turn against him - so citing them as evidence as to why we should keep Jackson is worth nothing, really.

By all accounts he's fragmented the franchise. He has trouble communicating with the front office and is hellish to work for/with if you're an assistant coach. That's not a good formula at all. We can't worry about him wanting to replace his staff every year. Oh, and I'm not even gonna mention the basketball side - the stagnant offensive sets and porous, untimely substitutions.

Sorry, Curry and Thompson can write 50 articles about him, he's still gotta go at the first chance we can upgrade. Preferably tomorrow.

I think the Bogut injury saved his bacon. If they had been #fullsquad and lost this series maybe that's enough for Lacob to fire him and explain to Curry and the rest why. Without a healthy squad they still took it to LA and it would be that much harder to explain the firing.

I'm one who thinks he's fine to stay UNLESS you get a clear upgrade, not another unproven guy like Steve Kerr. Doc Rivers, Van Gundy, etc...maybe. But not a move just to make a move.

But it's not a move to just make a move. Apparently he has a problem working with people (management/staff). Unless you're an absolute genius of a coach, that's enough for you to go.

Apparently is the key word.

Until real evidence comes out that his "apparent" problem working with management is hurting the team going forward, I see no reason to let him go. He has the support of the team, 50+ wins, team played above its head in the 1st round...

I seriously don't understand your rage against the guy.

I'm not completely on the "fire Jackson" bandwagon but if everyone is happy with 53-55 wins and a 2nd round exit. Then keep Jackson. But it seems other players love to play for Jackson which is why I would keep him and chase another star that wants to come here. But with a better coach I can see 55+ wins

Where's there's smoke there's usually fire - and there's a bunch of smoke coming out.

That said, if he gets fired, then we'll know for sure that his severances with the front office and coaching staff were real.

That's fair.

Just to play Devil's Advocate: what if Lacob is a rich, ego-driven asshole with unfair expectations?

If Jackson gets fired, I truly hope it's Jackson that is the problem and not the owner. Time will tell.

Well, Lacob isn't exactly a seasoned owner, and I don't think that's a power play he's willing to pull off at this point.

But then again I'm not a multi-millionaire, so who knows how they think.

If the dubs don't retain Jackson, then they're risking division amongst the players and ruining their chemistry.....which is actually a lot worse than a front office personnel rift. They would have won the series against the clippers had Bogut not been injured....

Just sayin.
