The sentimental choice is Tippett, but I think Sacco deserves it. Trotz won't win it, but he just finds a way to get results year in and year out

They're not renaming it the Gordon Bombay Trophy? I thought Bettman would be all over it.

I think Trotz should get the award, but it probably will be Tippet.

I think Sacco had less to work with, but Tippet wasn't the Yotes head coach until 9 days before the regular season started. Tough call.

If I had a vote, I'd give it to Lemaire...

I think it is Tippett for sure. Although what Sacco did was just as impressive.

What is left to announce other than the Hart finalists? Is there a schedule of when they release all the info?

Tippett should get it but as someone said all three are deserving.

This is sort of a weird award because a coach always has to exceed expectations. Of course, if you already have really high expectations, you can't really exceed them.

I mean...hasn't Babcock only been nominated once (and didn't win)? And he's a hell of a coach.

What? No Lindy Ruff?

They could create a new trophy named the Ruff award. Give it to the coach of the team with most diving calls, who had the most TV cutaways from him on the bench cuz he was cussing or whose team suffered the biggest loss in the most controversial way.

THE SKATE WAS IN THE CREASE GODDAMMIT!!!

If I had a vote, I'd vote for Sacco. The "pundits" if you will keep slobbering over Tippet, because he "singlehandedly" turned the Yotes around, and they keep slobbering over Bryzgalov because he "singlehandedly" made the Yotes contenders. I think it's a little of both over there. The Avs, on the other hand, played WAAAY over their heads. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for them, Phoenix has been rebuilding since the lockout. It's about time those draft picks started playing some damn hockey.
