The Jets are unquestionably the top candidate for any relegation or contraction based on merit. But of course as a New York team this would never happen, because even as losers they have a larger TV audience and fan base than some other, winning teams.

The Jags are not a candidate for contraction, but they are a strong candidate for relocation because they don't have a big market fan base. London Jags seems inevitable to me. And it could be a lucrative franchise then. Khan clearly playing the long game.

I was genuinely surprised to look at the numbers just now. It seems so long ago, but it was only 4 seasons ago that Gruden was the coach of the Raiders and they were a wildcard team, losing to the Bengals.

I could see the Jags possibly moving, but I don't think a team across the seas as a plausible solution tho......

Does anyone really think the players wanna keep traveling back n forth to the states 8-9 times a year for a game.....??
The east coast is the shortest distance....think about the travel to the midwest or to the west coast.....

The cost for the team, families that live in the states.....are they just to pick up and move to London.....??
I doubt freeagents would wanna sign with them.
And whatever else that goes along with it.....

I just don't see that happening.......

I think it would be tough to be the first team in Europe, or Mexico, or otherwise out of the USA. But it is very clear that the NFL wants to go international and that this will eventually happen.

Travel time, jet fuel, and scheduling will be a pain in the ass for sure. And IMO the NBA will do it before the NFL does. Worldwide basketball is more popular anyways...

Only soccer tops it...

Are those the teams that never won one? Or those that never even appeared in the championship game? Cardinals also never won as discussed so they should be on the list if it's teams that never won a super bowl.
top teams have been but not one. Bottom 4 never been.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry, it is way past time for the NFL to contract the two biggest **** stains in the league.

The Cleveland Skidmarks and Loss VegASS Raiders need to go. Bye. Auf Wiedersehen, Ciao, Adios, Sayonara.

The Browns are the **** stain in the NFL's underwear. That skinny, smelly unsightly brown stain in the skivvies. It looks ominous and it smells just as bad as their fans do.

The team colors are trash, they don't even have a real logo...just a stupid orange helmet with a brown accent. The mascot is a dog which tends to resemble MOST [but not all] of the women's faces up there.

The owner...like their previous owners, is a complete ****. You fired John Dorsey and replaced him with an idiot like Andrew Berry who has now let Baker Mayfield go and traded Myles Garrett.

This organization is so incompetent and they can't get out of their own way.

This is supposed to be PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL.

Does this team resemble anything "PROFESSIONAL" to any of you? Aside from misfits?

Now for the Raiders...they are the very definition of thug culture. Their logo hasn't been updated ever and it's dumb pirate clown who looks like someone just stuck butt plug up his ass. Their useless felon fan base throws batteries and bottles at fans and players. People have been stabbed, shot and beaten at Raiders games. There's not a single Raiders game where at least one Raiders fan doesn't get arrested. Let's not forget the Raiders owner looks like a walking penis in a business suit and it's fair to say he is completely incompetenf.

These two teams are like three soccer fan boys at a bar trying to score dates. They resemble eleven monkeys trying to **** a football while wearing a pair of greased boxing gloves.

The NFL should retire the logo's, the names and the color combinations and contract the teams and replace them with two expansion teams. The league can no longer take these two clown shows seriously. It's time to move on.
Welcome to the Hoop.
The NFL needs losing teams. It does not have to be the same teams every year.
Raiders have a new stadium in a good market - and some loyal fans.
Cleveland has some very loyal fans and some great "rivalries"

So you are a loud-mouth mullet-girl truckdriver?
You want to go to law school? Is Hillary your "wink-wink" friend?
Stick around, you'll be the "Raiders" of our posters.

Browns have been a borderline playoff team in recent years. And you cannot talk about the history of the NFL without talking about the Raiders. Both teams might be down now but those are two of the best (in their own ways) fan bases in the league.

Jags, Panthers, Texans, Cardinals and maybe one or two others I am forgetting have fan bases that would not be impacted nearly as much with losing a team.

With all that said, no, the NFL should not lose teams. Or add teams. Maybe move Jags to Mexico or Canada so they can have their international team they have been wanting but do not change anything else.

Nobody does dysfunction like them.

Thanks Jimmy! :L

Since we knew the opponents before actual schedule release maybe eliminated sooner than the release?

All seriousness, it really sucks no confidence in QB as this team could be a legit playoff contender with just average QB play.

Check this kid out...

The Kansas City Chiefs had one final quarterback decision to make before setting their initial 53-man roster. Patrick Mahomes remains the unquestioned starter despite his injury setback, while Justin Fields entered the season as his backup after he was traded by the New York Jets. What was unclear was whether there would be room for another quarterback.

Assistant general manager Mike Bradway had already suggested that keeping three quarterbacks was a possibility, but the decision ultimately came down to Garrett Nussmeier and Chris Oladokun. Nussmeier, a seventh-round pick out of LSU, received a major opportunity in the preseason finale after Oladokun entered concussion protocol. He responded by completing 22 of 34 passes for 198 yards against the Seattle Seahawks, finishing the preseason with 370 passing yards.

Got him in the 7th round, but early indications are this kid can play although short for a QB at 6'1". He won't play behind Mahomes forever. So give us, say, a 4th round pick for him...?

I'm trying to be fair .. :heh:
