It's official: Long is retiring

Loved him those first few years, the absolute heart and soul of the Bears. But he's been virtually invisible the back half of his career. I'l remember Kyle fondly, but it's time to move on.

That tenacity was one reason he was so good. When he wasn't and couldn't stay healthy, it manifested in unhealthy ways. Such a shame that injuries derailed his career. Emery got killed for that pick and Long turned out to be a beast anyway.
