It was already technically outlawed (Lu never actually wore the C other than on his cage), but they still referred to him as the captain and he is listed in Canucks record books as having been the cappy.

Yes, that's correct, goalies can't officially be named captain thanks to the aforementioned Durnan. I think the league got tired of Durnan skating after refs arguing so many calls.
