TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is set to have his injured ankle examined next week.

Jeter hasn't played this season after breaking his left ankle in the playoffs last year and having surgery. He sustained another fracture during his rehabilitation, and isn't expected back until after the All-Star break in mid-July.
Jeter moved his rehab program on Thursday from New York to the Yankees' minor league complex in Tampa, Fla. He recently had been working out at Yankee Stadium.
The 13-time All-Star turns 39 this month. He will have a CT scan and will be examined by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. The team captain says he hopes to be cleared to increase his baseball activities.
"Can't do anything different until I see the doctor, so absolutely no news," Jeter said. "I wish I could do more, but I can't until I go to the doctor."

Four letters: PUIG

In four games he's taken over for Matt Kemp and made himself the future of the Dodgers. He's getting Fernando-type love in LA.

Yankees with a great draft, according to guys that know that shit One guy looks like Giancarlo Stanton, another compared to Kershaw but said in his Pre-draft interview that he hates the Yankees more than anything in the world

Cano hits a 3 run HR, I wish he would learn how worthless 3 run homers are

Yeah, he's insane! Let's hope he doesn't go Hollywood like Kemp and ruin his career

I think they should have grabbed Kaminsky with their first pick, and Jagielo would have been there for them at 32.

Can't complain too much-it would have been nice to have the local lefty, but they got some talent-Jagielo's going to be ready quickly.

Sox first pick projects really well.

And Theo still thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, obviously. I think he might have been too smart for his own good last night.

Is there any doubt The Phranchise needs to sign with a team like Seattle or San Diego in the off-season?

Matt Kemp will be the next Yankee player with a huge contract that exceeds his worth

Nast. MLB showed the Lefty the Yanks drafted. He said him and his family were crying in 2001 when Arizona beat the Yankees because they have a passionate hatred for the Yankees. Than they drafted him 15 minutes later

That Judge kid is a giant, the "expert" on the panel had him going mid first round

Another 2 way player....

Not really thrilled with either pick last night...they went pitcher like I predicted...not that it was tough, they almost always go pitcher...

Disclaimer: I hated the Jackie Bradley Jr pick...so...yeah.

Wasnt a fan of the Bradley pick either, but so far so good.. maybe they do know what they are doing..

Yes, absorbing bad contracts is exactly the blue print the Yankees are drawing up these days

Still cant believe they brought in Capt. Kirkman.. Wash must have been doing a line right before that decision.. they should have brought in Murphy before Kirkman.. I/W Pedy to face ortiz.. that is known to crush the ball in that situation.. just dont get it..

SHOCKED he didn't take Gray...

Not thrilled with Ball there...2 way players...not sure what the infatuation is, but I'd rather have someone great at either, than really good at both...

He's big, a lefty and throws 95...so he has that going for him at least...
