It was a good basketball season

Since basketball season officially started the day after the Super Bowl on Feb 8th it was a good 11 day season that basketball had. Today baseball season started again and that means that basketball season is now over.

As of right now it is in the top of the 5th with the Huskers at the plate and Nebraska leads 4-2. Fresno St is leading in the hits department 5-3.

Yeah it is on here in Omaha. Unfortunately this is the only game on the radio for the weekend here in Omaha. It is 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th.

KRVN is good about carrying NU sports. They've had all the women's basketball games this season and also had all the volleyball matches. They've carried all the men's basketball games ( why, I don't know ). I'll have to listen this weekend to see if they carry all 4 games of the series.

Huskers just pissed down their leg. Got a big insurance run in the top of the ninth to take a 5-3 lead then gave up 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth, including a 2 run walk off homer to lose 7-5.

thats too bad, i was listening to the game on the radio until 2 outs in top of the 9th

It really sucks when your top 2 hitters go 4-10 at the plate but your 3-7 hitters go 0-19 behind them.

Hopefully they can get more hitting this weekend.

no kidding jed. it's good to have a real sport actually in season to talk about.

an oasis amongst paper dolly topics like basketball and far too many ridiculous off season football topics. if there was like maybe only 1 or 2 football topics a week during this time of year, that would be okay. get a life people!!

i'm not too concerned about how the team is doing right now. it's a long season. i'm just enjoying the games themselves. we're still a few weeks away from being real concerned about any one of various issues, especially the hitting issues that have been plagueing the team the past few seasons.

the stat which i'll be watching again this year in men left on base. i want to see more clutch hitting. i'm not asking for (too) much. lol.


game starts in about an hour!!! i'll be listening while i'm at the gym!!! good times!!!!!

Huskers pissed down their leg....again. Had an 8-6 lead going to the bottom of the ninth, gave up 2 runs to go to extra innings and lose 10-9 on a bases loaded wild pitch in the 11th. Starting the season 0-3 isn't what I was hoping to see.
