Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson: Simmons sat out on-field drills, but he did more than enough during the testing portion of his workout to confirm that he is indeed the type of freakish athlete that teams will covet in the draft. He led all linebackers with a 4.39-second 40-yard dash. He also impressed with a 39-inch vertical and 11-foot broad jump. The 238-pounder is the first player since at least 2003 to record a 38-plus-inch vertical jump, broad jump of 11 feet or more and a sub-4.4 40-yard dash at the combine while weighing 230-plus pounds, per NFL Research.

That workout shoots him to the top 10 IMO

I always thought he would go in the top ten. This might push him around the top 5.
If he fell to 10+ for whatever reason, I wouldnt mind trading up to snag him.

He'd be a great addition.

Not sure where he will play exactly every down (I guess it depends on the team and scheme), but manning the middle in a dime defense he could be flat out amazing. You can drop him, man cover, rush him, let him follow the back, spy on the QB or just let him sit in a zone in the middle of the field and let him run everything down

I'd be just fine standing pat and taking the Florida CB. I think he was 6'-1" 205. Looks the part and has some upper level athleticism. On film he has a habit of undercutting the receiver (in college) which creates two things (in pros) - more turnovers created and more big plays given up. So those knocking Jones for his inability to take the ball away, there is a flip side that isn't so peachy. Ever since Jones' second stint at corner, he sure has been dependable. Can't think of many plays he got soundly beat. We are going to miss him regardless if it is a rookie replacement or taking a backup and putting him in Jones' place. I'm quietly hoping we grab CB early.
