So, I had my first draft of the year (not counting suicide) last night. Naturally, I wound up picking in the 12 spot because that is where I always seem to get stuck when draft order is randomized. I hate 12, in case you can't tell.

Anyway, it certainly wasn't my best draft ever, but I thought it was solid with upside to be pretty good. Y! Has me projected to finish 0-13 and gave me a D draft grade.

So, who is wrong? Me or Yahoo?

Picks by round:

1: DeMarco Murray- I was hoping somebody else would fall. They didn't.
2: Michael Thomas- expecting a Mike Evans type season from him in NO
3: Joe Mixon- went with upside here after my queue was depleted
4: Allen Robinson- with Bortles likely on the way out, I think ARob's arrow is pointing up.
5: Adrian Peterson- why not?
6: Andrew Luck- great value here. Started a huge QB run. 6 point passing TDs also.
7: Thomas Rawls-
8: DeVante Parker
9: Kyle Rudolph: 10th TE drafted. Was planning to wait, but value was awesome here.
10: Corey Davis
11: Rex Burkhead- Gillislee banged up and Burkhead looking good
12: Ted Ginn- probably won't be on my roster too long
13: Chris CARSON- will he move ahead of Lacy?
14: Giants D
15: Tyrod Taylor- in case Luck misses time
16: McManus

I know this draft isn't anything special, but I think at least 3-4 of my RB darts will hit and I like my squad everywhere else. I may regret picking Rawls ahead of Henry, but I thought Rawls was a great value at the 7-8 turn.

I wouldn't ever say 0-13. Love Michael Thomas, Mixon, and of course Rexy. Excellent value on Rudolph. Likely a reach on AP, and imho, on Rawls. Even if he remains the "lead" dog, simply to much competition in Seattle for my liking.

And since i know better, you'll fix any deficiencies throughout the season quickly and effectively.

I think Yahoo is full of sh*t. Although not particularly strong anywhere - certainly looks better than an 0-13 team to me. .... with a few smooth moves by yr end I bet you'll be in the thick of it

I got AP with pick 60, about 20 picks after Ingram went off the board. I honestly can't envision a scenario where a healthy AP gets out touched by Ingram.

He wasn't a guy I was targeting by any means, but I think 1000 yards and 10 TDs is quite possible. If I am wrong, I have a bunch of other options to play there. Just need to find 1 to stick until Mixon takes charge in Cincy.

Maybe Rex?

I hear you on Rawls, but Lacy seems to look worse every year. I think it is his backfield until he gets hurt or Carson overtakes him (fine by me). Prosise will be their James White.

Yahoo picks me to finish out of the playoffs or at the bottom almost every time.

Been in leagues long enough over there you'd think they would stop betting against me every season

I can't.

He has two RBs that aren't 32 competing for touches.

I just don't see the Saints using Kamara much on 1st/2nd down. We'll see though. I'm almost certain the Saints didn't bring AP to give him the ball only 7 or 8 carries per game

They didn't bring him in to block or catch passes.

But I really can't make sense of the signing personally.

I also loathe the guy and Kamara was my favorite RB in this draft class.

On as offense that has only averaged 25 rushing attempts per game for the past 4 years, maybe longer. Not many touches to split between 3 backs, especially for RB's not excelling in the pass game

That and he looked done last year. To me.

He didn't look good, no doubts. I do think he still has plenty left to contribute, but then again, so does Ingram, and Kamara has looked pretty good. . so. . just because he's not dead, doesn't mean he'll be better than either of the other two

Ingram is solid in the pass catching game. Avg 48 catches the last 2 years. Had 50 catches in 2015 in only 12 games. AP is the only one of the 3 who is really not a pass catching back

Kamara had upside. AP is toast.

Makes no sense he's even on that team.

Kamara is the pass catcher and the future. Ingram is the one who is toast.

Besides, there were something like 250 carries that went to backs other than Ingram and their 3rd down specialist Cadet last year. AP will get his.
