Perhaps what we should be asking is: "Is your tenuous grasp of English Grammar indicative of a true honors student at UCF (or any other school, for that matter)?

But, as for your original question: nobody really has a grasp on ranking Stanford. When they are rated highly, they tend to under-perform; when they are given short shrift, they usually outpace expectations.

You seem to be the only person who thinks Pitt deserves any accolades. Last year they happened to be the least-worse team in a very bad ACC Coastal Division. Or, more accurately, the team that picked the right games not to lose.

There's really no reason for either team to be ranked any higher than they are. Playing or not playing UCF has no factor in their rankings.

Stanford last year preseason 13 post 27ish
2017 went 14 to 20
2016 8 to 12
2015 21 to 3
2014 11 to 27

so given a preseason this year( which hasnt actually came out. so far all we have is things like magazines and random writers opinions) or post spring right now around 18 i would guess they finish close to 8th.

Where in the hell is he?

Did he go into hibernation with Tiger Bait until the season starts?
Went off on the owner. Never a smart idea.

I don't there is any doubt that both Stanford and Pitt being intentionally under-rated in this preseason?

We all know Stanford has been very good the last decade. They held their own among the WA giants of the North Pac Division.

And we all know Pitt finished 2nd in the ACC only behind a pretty good Clemson team.

Yet neither of them are getting the respect that they deserve this offseason / preseason. And I think we all know why...

There is no doubt as why. The ESP5N Cartel doesn't want UCF to destroy a Top 10 team, at home or a Top 15 team on the road. So they are intentionally underrating both Stanford and Pitt. Does the Cartel really take all cfb fans as UCFools?

I just read the OP and am guessing your UCFrauds are trying to justify you schedule. Might be wrong.

Well shit. Who the hell are we going to irritate about SOS, advanced metrics, and shit like that now?

I didn't even see this before, that means I need to find another Alabama fan to argue with

Given the above stats, tends to fall between 8th & 21st, but, as you pointed out, averages out to 13.4. Four of the five years you quoted, they dropped between 4 & 16 positions by the final poll (twice dropping out of the Top 25 altogether). The other year they jumped 18 spots to end up ranked #2. The average is a 4.4 point drop to end up 17.8.

They will probably be somewhere between 12th & 14th again when they regular (weekly) pre-season polls come out.
