It's all good. He's our kicker and that's that.

I look at it like training at dog. You gotta set your dog up to succeed and not put it in situations where it could fail. Instead of kicking a field goal that we know damn well is out of our guys range, we should have tried to pin LSU deep inside there own territory with a punt. Instead we miss a field goal that we really didn't have a shot at, and give them the ball on the 35 or 40. It was horrible decision making on our coaches part. That's in the past now, hating our kicker ain't gonna change shit.

Bama, bad news for the about that kicker issue. Kinda sucks. You can recruit all these amazing athlets but you really can't recruit a proven kicker. Maybe he is a decent kicker.

OU at one time had 4 kickers. If the ball was anywere past the 30 yard line, it was a given miss. Stoops would recruit 5 or 4 star kickers only to come to college and schank a 23 yarder. The past 3 or 4 seasons there have been a number of games lost because of the kicker missing 27 or 33 yard field goals. Some folks talk about OU running up the score, but that is partically because they have to score a TD, because the kicker will just miss it. OU maybe highly ranked, but no matter what on the other side of the field is a better kicker. I have yet to see one of them kick it into the endzone on a kick-off.

Just remember that Leah Tiffen missed several field goals and an extra point in the 06 OT game with Arkansas, and he turned out alright.

This kicker we got coming in this next class, I'm not sure how true it is, but I read an article about him that said he routinely hit 50+ yards FG's and the longest he's hit in practice was 60+. Maybe we got a good one coming in, I don't know. That doesn't always translate to a game, but I can hope.

Truth. The kicking game was set up for failure when they were kicking 50+ yarders. Saban made some strange decisions in that game.
