Than Jay doing color commentary for FOX, for a good chunk of our 2017 games?

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2017/05/05/jay-cutler-hired-by-fox-as-tv-analyst/

A month after Tony Romo traded in his cleats for a mike, Cutler does the same. He will join Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis on Fox's No. 2 team as a game analyst.

He'll be the color man for FOX's #2 crew, (Buck/Aikman are #1). Seeing as FOX covers the NFC, it's inevitable that he'll probably get a handful of our games.

Going to be weird, especially since I never would have guessed he'd have a career in broadcasting.

I think he'll be better than most think. I like what he's said about Trubisky already.

Cutler: Don't play Trubisky if team has bad start

Seemed honest and objective.

I can't believe he is interested in broadcasting. I expected to never see him near a camera again.

He's intelligent, no one's ever really disputed that. I think he'll bring very good analysis.

The problem is, that he has very little personality. Especially for color guys, that's rather important.

I disagree. I think players are told to stfu in front of media, and give as little as possible as to not incriminate themselves. His mic'd ups are hilarious.

Certainly not disputing players being conservative with the media. The mic'd up stuff was okay, nothing special.

He was with Waddle & Silvy every week for a full hour, for quite a few years. Doing "The Jay Cutler Show".

He's really dry. Good for a quick, witty line or two... but I don't know if he can carry a broadcast. He's just so nonchalant about everything. Maybe he has another gear to his personality that we've never seen. I am definitely interested in seeing how it plays out.

He doesn't need to carry it. Dry is ok, particularly with TV IMO.

I never listened to Waddle show, so I can't comment on that, but to me, he always seemed to have disdain toward the media, which is understandable, because they're watered down water, but I dig his personality for the part.

I drink a beer or 12 with him.

I am thinking there is a silver lining to the bears being bad this year, cant possibly be worthy of #1 or #2 games of the week. But I think Fox will milk it as much as possible though just to torment me. It will be interesting to hear him analyze some plays and see if we can figure out some of his bone head plays.

HA! I'm loving this. Just another big Jay Cutler Middle finger to the haters!
"YOU'RE still not rid of me!!Muuhhaahhhaa"

And if anyone was paying attention- he's actually really bright- AND now he's being paid TO talk, before he was being paid not give up team secrets. I think he'll do well.

Bears always wind up with the top two teams a good handful of times, even when they suck. They still draw ratings. Especially seeing as a our divisional opponents should be solid, so there's six games on FOX right there that could draw either the #1 or #2 team.

team secrets lol, sure seems like the defenders always knew where the ball was going. Kristen must hate you being such a nut hugger. Watch him redefine a back shoulder throw and lets see how many times a receiver leaps, stretches and gets hammered for him to say "thats right where the ball had to be". Well, no, if there are three defenders over where you are throwing the ball, someone else must be open or at least have one on one coverage.

I'm thinking of starting a website that logs how many times Cutler's analysis gets intercepted. :D

I think it's the other way around. He'll get a first hand view of every other QB ever running the Bears offense better then he did. And he will have to say nice things like the Bears finally found a real QB.

Remember when this happened, and we had to teach you what a back shoulder throw was?

Why do you continue to waste your time? Do you really think being smarter than an idiot is going to take you to the top of this forum? I mean, at least I am consistent and not bi polar.
