KK:
Irwin will receive $900,000 in the first year of the deal in 2013-14, and $1.1 million in 2014-15, according to his agent.

But we all know Doug will offset that by re-signing Hannan to a 4 year $8M deal.

Amazing deal for this guy. He has a lot of value on this team as the only LH dman that can get shots through. Good job Doug.

From the blog:

“I’m excited to stay here, I’m excited to continue winning with this team,” said Irwin, who was undrafted and then signed by San Jose as a free agent when he left UMass-Amherst. “I wanted to be a Shark. They did a great job over the years in developing me as a player in Worcester for two and a half years. I felt like I wanted to stay here and owed it to them for their loyalty.”

I like this kid even more...

Wait for a few years under LRob. Same for all the youngsters on D. Dwil, you better replace TMac long before you ever consider letting LRob walk. :suds:

I think he had a bad game last night and struggled a little bit recently, but am not worried long term. Has shown enough that he can be a GREAT D player
