I actually look at it like this

Iowa shot it for shit ( 4/22 on 3 and 14/26 on FT ) while Zags shot the 3 well. Even with that Iowa still scored 88 pts and only lost by 11. Gonzaga is very good but I'm not at all scared to play them again. Iowa really couldn't shoot it worse and its unlikely they shoot it as well .

Hopefully we get another crack at them in March or April

Did you watch the game?

Gonzaga missed about 15 lay ups at the rim. I think they literally stuffed themselves at the rim about 7 times. Zags also had uncharacteristic TOs probably from the rust. Timme and Kispert barely played the second half(foul trouble is part of the game although a couple calls were horrendous). Iowa made a little run, but the game and the cover for that matter were never in doubt. "Only" 11 is a bit generous.

Gonzaga did shoot the 3 well(also sucked at the line) but I think 85% of their 3s were wide open. They broke down the D at will and either had a lay up or a 3....or Ayayi getting a O rebound for a kick out. Iowa also missed open 3s but half the time guys like Nunge and Bohannon were launching simply ill advised shots with Garza in.

Can Iowa beat Gonzaga? Sure. Can teams like Baylor beat them? Yup. Is anyone beating Gonzaga if Gonzaga brings close to their A game? No chance.

Iowa is dangerous because they have a really, really good starting 5. That edge is nullfied against a team like Gonzaga who also has an elite 5(with far more athleticism to boot). Iowa's issue is their bench. The moment Fran started mixing and matching in the first half with bench guys, it got out of control. UNC made pushes against these guys too. Nunge thinks hes Anthony Davis or something, but should focus on making lay ups in traffic. The other McCaffery is awful(thought he was higher regarded). The back up PG has potential as a upper classman. Other black guy yesterday was first time ive even seen him lol.
