So much for being a special year. This was strait up embarrassing. Did we even get 200 yards of offense? I'm having 2012 flashbacks ...
Grier looked just fine to me on that scoring drive and nice ball to Sills.
He dont have a concussion, and if he DOES then Dana and staff should be fired immediately for endangering the players and putting WVU at risk (see Maryland at the moment).
It looked like the three picks last week got in Grier's head so bad that he completely changed his attitude and was afraid to throw the ball. I felt that Grier should have been sat last week in the second half, poor decision making the last two and a half games. I hope the Grier for Heisman WWW disappears this week, that is done!!!Like DAD said... WVU may have underestimated its opponent last night. ISU came ready to fight. Our kids looked slow... they were dominated on the LOS. To an opponent that was good... but not great.
I could accept a dominating performance if our opponent was tOSU... Bama...
Not ISU.
The Pitt game ruined our chances for a NC. Last night’s loss may have done the same as far as hope to get to the playoffs. I never felt we could win a NC this year. I was hoping for a special year... and for me... getting to the playoffs would be special.
Just as we saw in the ‘07 season, there may end up being multiple teams with 1 and 2 losses vying for a NC. WVU can still make it to the Big 12 CCG. The season ain’t over. It’s but one loss.
But, I’m losing confidence in our QB and our OC. Dana alluded to his displeasure with his OC. Will that result in some change? You could see how pissed he was in the first half with the offense. It’s Dana’s job to make things right. He replaced DeForest when it was obvious a change was needed. Some real hard decisions are needed...
We were not executing our offense to attack. There are always options. If the QB wasn’t making the right choices, then he needed to be benched.
To me a special season would be to win the CCG, and win a good Bowl Game

I thought great progress was made in 3rd down efficiency until last night. WVU was right up there nationally in 3rd down conversions, we had yet to be behind in a game. The gunslinger mentality drives me crazy, low percentage passes are not an effective game plan....like you said, when you have a great receiver, you can get away with it, to a point. I am hoping the coaches can get it ironed out, or what was lined up to be a special season could end up as a dud, keep playing like last night and there is not another win on the season!!!!!Dana and Spav said their work with him in the offseason was to make sure he kept drives alive this year. Our 3rd down conversion was poor last year, and it needed to improve. They reviewed film with him to show him he left a lot of plays on the field by not checking down to someone.
Last night was another example of this. Instead of hitting guys who were open at the first down marker, he went for the home run on a number of 3rd down attempts.
How many times later do the players admit they have hidden a concussion? Could be he is so worried about his stats that he doesn't want to throw it away. But I think there is more to it, There is time before the next game to right the ship, but if this great offense doesn't turn it around Baylor will have its lunch, they hung with Texas till the end. Texas is not the same team that lost to MD.
LOL end of the world thread on cue.
whats up boys?
